Now BANNED In Germany
Please find attacked an actual screenshot. It basically says that the website shelleytherepublican.com contains images and texts that will be unsuitable for citizens of the German Reich. Any attempts of reading banned websites will result in drakonian punishment. But it’s not only your website they are banning. Take a look at Cnn. What they write on Cnn.de is much different than what they write on Cnn.com.

Frappr
Have you ever heard about "pushpin apps"? These are sites that let you build your own collection of places that you can view on a Google, MS or Yahoo maps. Frappr is probably the best known of these; it's becoming the MySpace of the mapping space.

Blogging From The Road!
And the quality is not amazing, of course. But that’s not the point! Think of the potential! I am planning to blog from the road on our next trip across Serbia, and post pictures along the way too. I can even insert Google Earth/GPS links to show you where we are, hopefully. So why not subscribe to the RSS feed and keep up to date (link above)?

All The Myspace Junk
But, me, no way. As a matter of fact, if this crap continues, I'm canceling my account over there. It is more than just annoying. They got my yahoo messenger ID and I have to keep blocking these fools, over and over. How ridiculous can this junk get?

Is This Thing On?
Anyway, since I’ve shunned myspace I might be posting here more often: No promises though. I bet no one reads this blog anymore anyway since I haven’t updated it in forever but I kind of like that false sense of privacy… it will either help me to be honest or bite me in the ass down the road: It’ll be a fun ride either way.

Fun Websites
So to amuse my self I went to all of my fun websites and found these videos. First from threadless it is this video. It is a fun video about bears. I love bears. The second is from Ctrl-Alt-Del, this is the online comic that I enjoy. It is a video of the process he went through to make the X-mas filler graphic. It is pretty neat. So these made me laugh and what not. Now off to work some more.

Conspiracy Against Google
If Viacom wins the copyright infringement suit against YouTube, it will only open a whole new can of worms. A victory will spell the end of so many websites providing copied video content. Just think of the hundreds of Torrent sites that will now face hands full of lawsuits from every single studio.

Free Dating Site
Why do I bother with dating sites… The more ‘friends’ you have the better right? j/k. This free site is just starting out so the number of potentials are not that great but it is growing. This isn’t one of those site where they state that the site is free and then charge you to contact other people. This site is 100% free.

Thanks For Visiting
Back in December, I predicted the eventual demise of “page views” as an online measurement tool - one that’s out of synch with today’s dynamic Web. I called for new metrics that are more representative of true activity, especially with increasing integration of video and cool technologies like Ajax and Flash. A new metric has recently emerged in that I think is worth noting.

Getting It
Not surprisingly, charging that X doesn’t get it is very popular. I did a Google search on the phrase “doesn’t get it” and turned up 1.2 million instances. Among those so accused in the first few pages of results are various companies, several businessmen, media personalities, “management” in general, pundits of various stripe, sundry politicians, a publisher, writers, a major league baseball manager, America, Washington, plus some individuals whose names I didn’t immediately recognize.

Denmark On The Map
I’m talking about the expansion of Google Maps to include high resolution imagery of rural Denmark. Take a look here. Last year I wrote a paper about surveillance and Google Maps (and searching in general) and I hope to find time to rewrite it and submit it to a journal. Suggestions are welcome.
