Internet Predator Pleads No Contest
Nilesh “Nick” Govind posted a message on Craigslist for “Carlmont/Notre Dame girls” who wanted “extra income” and began chatting with who he believed to be a 15-year-old girl named Amber. She was actually a Belmont police detective who responded to Govind after a parent alerted them to the Craigslist posting. Govind offered “Amber” $200 to be his girlfriend for an hour, according to police, and arranged to meet. Belmont police arrested Govind and reported finding $700 cash on him.
